Location: Unova Region, Giant Chasm
Characters: Kaida, Sparkx, anyone else who joins
Kaida swung her tail out, whacking it against a sturdy tree. She looked up, and a few seconds later a berry fell from it, along with a drift of snow. Catching the berry, she shook the snow from her shoulders and munched on her treat as she kept walking, the tall grass only coming up to her knees.
"....It's so much different, here...We're still enclosed, but we can see the sky. It's like a really open cave..." she muttered, looking around her.
She looked to the north, where a cave opening yawned high up in the rock face.
She'd clambered her way up there, once; she'd never gone back after that. The Pokémon she'd seen up there had knocked her out in one hit. When she came to on the ground outside, the others there had told her that that Pokémon was the Legendary Pokémon Kyurem, an Ice and Dragon type. They'd said he was extremely powerful, and not to be messed with. Minutes later, she'd jumped up and ran off to train. She'd face this Kyurem down, and defeat him, no matter how long it took!
She then looked to the south, where another cave opening overlooked the valley. Trainers sometimes came out of this one, but they could never make it up to the cave where Kyurem rested, although that was obviously their target. She stayed clear of them. She wasn't too keen on getting herself captured before she could face Kyurem. Although....recently, the rumblings and growls that could be heard and felt around the cave were getting more frequent, and more aggressive. Something was wrong, Kaida knew, but what...?
She shook her head out with a quiet growl. This sort of thinking was going to turn her into one of those all-brain-no-muscle types...
After continuing on towards the west end of the valley, she found her normal sleeping spot. Pulling herself up onto the ledge, she sprawled out on her side, absorbing the sun. She could only keep her eyes open for a few minutes; she was then snoring comfortably. She didn't even notice as the much-smaller Emolga Gijinka crawled up next to her and curled up near her.
Sparkx panted quietly for a few moments. 'Gosh! Why does Kaida always choose this spot to sleep? It's too far up for me!'
He curled up close to her side, snuggling up under her arm for warmth.
